OPTIONAL PEER-LED DISCUSSION CIRCLES

SIY’s science-based, secular training programs are designed to make mindfulness and emotional intelligence practical and accessible for people in corporate, educational, and government settings.  The Adaptive Resilience course taught on Tuesdays will provide you with valuable tools for managing stress and overwhelm, skills for adaptability and creativity in the midst of uncertainty and complexity, and practices for creating change-capable organizational cultures.

Go Deeper
On Thursdays, we invite those of you who want to look inward and go deeper to join us in exploring the topic of Conscious Leadership and what we posit are three key elements required for meeting the challenges coming towards us from the future; Love, Consciousness, and Spirituality.

Honest Conversations
We will also explore the unique gifts that LGBTQ-identified people bring to our organizations, our communities, and to the world. In our final session, we will take a deep look at our inner culture, and explore questions like; “What are the stories and/or self-limiting beliefs that no longer serve me?” and “How can I show up more boldly and unapologetically as my authentic self?”

Well Being For All
We’ve heard a lot of talk about “getting back to normal” over the past couple of years.  If you’re not sure that “Normal” was all that great to begin with and want to be a leader in creating a new “normal” that is generative, just, and enhances the well-being of everyone (and our planet) we hope you’ll join these optional roundtables.

These groups are facilitated and kept small to create an inclusive environment to support community bonding and honest discussions.

MEET THE FACILITATORS

CRAIG SOUZA

Craig's mission is to help create loving, creative, and vibrant corporate cultures where innovation thrives and people are empowered, engaged, and bringing their authentic selves to work each day.  He provides training and coaching using the principles of conscious leadership and mindfulness practice to help leaders at all levels become more conscious and present to their actions, words, intentions and choices; all in service to creating a world that enhances everyone’s well-being.

Craig is particularly excited about this SIY Adaptive Resilience training geared towards LGBTQ leaders, and to the opportunity to go deeper in the optional peer roundtable discussions following each module.  SIY’s science-based, secular approach to mindfulness and emotional intelligence works superbly at bringing practical, accessible tools into organizations but in the roundtables we get to go deeper into foundational elements of Conscious Leadership; Love, Consciousness, and Spirituality.  Craig believes that LGBTQ+ leaders have a special role to play in creating a world that enhances the well-being of everyone, and we’ll explore that together in the Thursday groups.

Craig’s other passions include Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (he is active in the Pride employee group at HP), Theatre Arts (as an actor, director and board member), Film (he’s currently directly a Queer film project), travel (remember when we travelled?) and the outdoors.  He lives in San Francisco, CA with his fiancé, Eric and their doggie daughter, Crissy.

TAY AND VAL

"Everything we do is grounded in the intention to help people lead their BEST lives."

Tay & Val are the success strategists and spiritual advisors conscious companies and visionary leaders go to—to answer their "What's Next?" question—as they navigate transformations, cultivate a compassionate culture, and make their legacy impact.

Award-winning filmmakers, Tay & Val left successful media careers, closed their production company, wrapped work on their nationally televised television series P.S. I’m Sorry, and set off to travel the world by bicycle for a documentary project to inspire dreams. Six years, three continents, more than 400 public talks and national radio and TV appearances (in twelve countries), and 2 TEDx talks later, Tay & Val settled in the Pacific Northwest as City Artists of Seattle.

During their journey around the world, Tay & Val studied with many Elders, Shamans and Teachers across different cultures and healing modalities. Each of them left Tay & Val with one unison message: “You’ll meet more people than all of us combined. Go and share what you’ve learned.”

Committed to helping visionary leaders meet their call to greatness with clear-eyed vision, groundedness, and deep trust — Tay & Val work now with leaders and businesses around the globe who hear the call to rise and say yes.

They are also co-founders of M Meditation, a modern meditation movement with a presence in Seattle and Singapore. More recently, their work has also appeared on Huffington Post, MindBodyGreen, and Thrive Global. Their clients include AWS, Airbnb, Expedia, and more.

Tay and Val are partners in work and in life. In their free time, they love to travel to new cities, explore new cuisines or sit down and read a book together.
